Children also learn the properties of shapes while having fun.
By balancing on the roller while doing the shape board helps to build their tummy muscles and shoulder muscles. This helps them to be able to sit up on a chair and work in a book once they enter school.
It also develops laterality and helps young children develop the concept of crossing the midline which is using their right hand to take a shape from the left side of the board and place on the shape board.
Developing these concepts builds their confidence and gets them school ready.
